So far it seems to be a pretty good zombie/apocalpyse book. It grabbed my attention as soon as I opened the first page and I'm tearing through it at a pretty quick pace.

In the past week, I've read:

Fabulous, kept me enthralled, great ending, and lots to think about. 5/5

Also loved this book, my second from Salzman. Great if you're a fan of classical music, wunderkind, or buddhist on buddhist homicide. 5/5

I enjoyed the book as a vignette on class struggle, but I think Boyle laid it on a bit thick at times. Unsatisfying ending as well. 3/5

Reading Manhunt: The 12-Day Chase for Lincoln's Killer. Great so far.
Finished The Dog Fighter. Slower than I would have liked.
On a book related note...while driving through Kansas last week I visited the Clutter house made famous by Capote's "In Cold Blood" Kinda morbid I know, but it was right off the highway I was traveling on. Strange to see the driveway lined with tree and the house at the end (surrounded by newer farm like buildings). Smaller than I expected seeing how Herb was one of the richest men in that area and really close to the highway. I was expecting it to be way out in the boonies but it was maybe two minutes from the highway. W

This series is known for it's share of clunkers, but this was actually very well done IMO. Well accessible to the beginner for a nice grounding before diving in to a traditional class. Good for both the High School Jr./Sr. and College Freshman level. Helped me bypass Psy-101 for college credit in a matter of weeks with some other materials - why sit in class and pay when one doesn't have to? New 2006 edition just released in June; so it's updated with the newer techniques, new tests options, etc. An interesting and fun read actually. Don't AP or Clep this class with this book alone. But, it does provide an excellent grounding and will get you a good 80% of the way there.
An interesting book and a nice change from the ordinary tedium of verb conjugation in most others. More books should really be done that are enjoyable. The last couple years have brought some excellent materials for this language and they get better by the year. This book is best adapted by the Intermediate Level Student; a Spanish 4 student should breeze right through this. It is a good way to pick up some new vocab and rules in a sensible approach that should please any comic fan. Spanish 2 and above; being most beneficial to Levels 3 and 4.
Beginner? Pick up "Madrigal's Magic key to Spanish." This book is absolute gold for the beginner and made more sense of this language than the Spanish 1 and 2 classes I took beforehand; plus it's less than $10. Way less students would fail if they worked through this book first before attending class (our drop out rate was at 62% which is insanity). Complete the audio lessons by way of Rocket Spanish and Learning Spanish like Crazy and you end up with a kick-ass approach that beats the beginner 1 & 2 classes to death. Will well prepare you for Spanish 3 and 4 in a fraction of the time (a matter of months instead of a year) and 1/2 the stress.
This was a fun set to go through. Very enjoyable! Well put together set that should please any fan of the Charlie Brown series.
This is an awesome series (Egyptology, Dragonology, Wizardology, etc.)! Quick readings and very nice books to look at. Includes stories, replica items, histories, & more on the pertaining subject. Nice coffee table books to just look at as well.

This was an ok book, but unfortunately went too slow for my liking. It may just be me, but I expected more.

Just finished:

A Decent read, should be an interesting movie, in the vein of Deep Blue Sea... Jurassic Park meets Jaws essentially but entertaining.

The sequel to the above. More of the same but a bit more elaborate.
Just starting:

Might as well finish the trilogy.
Up next:

After reading the brilliant "A Dirty Job", I'm trying to get my hands on all the CM books I can. Looks excellent.
